Recent Restoration
This 1910 inside Jumper by the Dentzel Company of Philadelphia was converted into a rocking-sled piece in the 1950's. The restoration effort replaced the moving wooden sled parts with custom fabricated steel. The piece was re-set and supported by its belly similarly to when it rode on a carrousel machine. A support steel pole was welded to this unit adding additional support and stability. Leather reins, brass pole and metal stirrups were replaced.
