Ruby's masterful faux marble and stone are executed in the classical style working directly from real samples. Antique marble mantles were assembled in pieces, showing different directions of the marble grain. Newman creates this affect as shown below in the right photograph. The image on the left is done in faux inlay for kitchen panel.
