Chileno Valley I and II
This Landscape series is created from on site painting. The pieces are then detailed in the artist's studio. Newman's main inspiration comes from Western Marin, Napa and Sonoma Counties in Northern California. She is inspired by dramatic landscapes throughout the country especially in the Southwest and Northwest areas. These images are just a sampling of the series.
The work is delivered in broad colorful strokes that are an immediate and spontaneous response to her subjects.
Canvases range from 11" x 14" to 4' x 6' and larger
